Round Robin Row Completed!!

This coming Thursday is Quilt Guild but I am not going to be there as I have a vendor gig at a small quilt Show in Delta, UT.  So, I got MaryAnn's round done so she could have it Thursday night!!

I did the small inner border and the check outer border with a gorgeous batik that I have been hoarding for years until I get the courage to cut it up and make something out of it!!  Each row gets harder and harder as we have to come up with something different.  We have two more rounds after this month!!

An Executive Decision!!

Our darling neighbor lost a lot of weight when his dear wife passed away last year.  He is in his late 80s, maybe early 90s.  He has told me several times that when he is watching TV or reading in his recliner, he just can't get warm regardless of what he does.

So, my brother and I decided that what he needed was an oversized lap quilt with MINKEE on the back!!

When we took it over to him he just could not stop petting the Minkee!!  He loved it and the Minkee matched his carpet, just like we knew what we were doing!!

Today he came over with a little bag of squeekie cheese and he said it was just like a sedative and sooooooooo warm!!

I keep saying, there is nothing better than a quilt!!

Wednesday Whimsy . . .

One of my best clients at my Etsy shop asked if I would put together some Kaffe Fassett Fat Quarter bundles for her, so I have been playing today picking and choosing fun assortments ~

Isn't playing with fabric just the best?  :-))  Oh, and Janet O., if you want to get one of these bundles before I put them in my shop, let me know and I will save one for you!!

Slow Sunday Stitchin' . . .

While watching the Denver Broncos win the Super Bowl, I was binding this cute little table topper ~

This little piece has a cute story that goes along with it!!  This past week we got a lot of snow here in Logan and so there is alot of snow piled up in the gutters around our homes.  My brother, Kelly, has an early morning newspaper route up in North Logan up on the bench.  Wednesday morning as he was going down one of the hills, he slid into one of the berms at the side of the road and got stuck.  The young lady across the street (who does not take the paper) came out with two shovels to help Kel out of the berm.

When Kel got home he told me what had happened and I said we need to do something for her to say thank you for being a Good Samaritan.  I thought a cute Valentine's table topper would be cute and Kelly agreed.  Just need to finish the binding and Kelly will take it over to her this week!!

Thank you, Mary, for helping Kelly out when it was super cold and snowy and you didn't have to come out of your warm home to help!!  You are the best!!

Hooking up with Kathy over at Kathy's Quilts Slow Sunday Stiching post.  Ccome on over to take a look at what everyone else was working on!!

GREAT WIN, BRONCOS!!  YAY!!
